What's new
When a charge fails to start and you retry, Monta Charge can reuse your existing card hold instead of placing a new one. A card hold (pre-authorization) reserves an amount on your card before charging.
- A retry at any charger on the same site reuses the hold
- If a charge fails, the summary shows the hold amount and when it will be released
- You get a notification when a hold is released
Why it matters
Retrying used to stack several holds and block large amounts on your card. Now one hold covers the retry.
Who it's for
Drivers who pay by card in the Monta Charge app, on a recent app version. Guest users are not covered.
