What's new

European day-ahead electricity markets now set prices in 15-minute intervals instead of hourly. Monta follows this, so electricity costs can be calculated per 15 minutes. Hourly stays the default.

  • In Monta Charge, drivers can set home electricity cost at 15-minute intervals, and SmartCharge uses them to schedule charging
  • Cost charts and price forecasts show 15-minute intervals
  • In Hub, price groups that use spot prices can be set to 15-minute intervals, and the Partner API lets you set the interval too

Why it matters

When the market prices in 15 minutes, hourly costing is less accurate. Matching the interval keeps cost calculations in line with the market price.
