Sidebar theming in Hub

What's new

Sidebar theming lets you apply your brand color to the Monta Hub sidebar, so Hub looks more like your own product. It is currently in beta, with the full launch planned for January 2026.

To turn it on, go to Operator settings → Themes → Edit and tick Apply theming to sidebar. The sidebar then uses the background color defined in your theme settings. Untick it and the sidebar goes back to the default color. The rest of Hub is not affected.

Along with the new option, a few refinements keep a branded sidebar easy to read:

• Hover color: the hover color is a lighter or darker shade of your brand color, chosen based on how light or dark the brand color is.

• Dividers: sidebar dividers are adjusted to keep enough contrast against your brand color. Before, they were always gray.

• Larger logo: the maximum logo height has increased from 40 px to 60 px, which suits taller logos.

• Readable widgets: widgets that used the primary color for text now use the default text color, to avoid contrast problems.

Why it matters

Until now the Hub sidebar was always the default color, so Hub could not look like your brand. Now your team sees your colors every time they navigate, while the interface stays accessible.

Who it's for

Operators, including white-label operators, who want Hub to reflect their own branding.

Availability

Sidebar theming is in beta and is fully opt-in. Existing themes are not changed unless you tick the option, and your logo and other theme elements stay as they are. The full launch is planned for January 2026.

Good to know

• With the option off, the sidebar keeps the default colors. Your brand colors still apply to supported widgets, such as the loading indicator and the primary button.

• This change covers the Hub sidebar. Email templates are not themed as part of it.
