New view for local charge keys

What's new

Monta Hub now has an improved Local Charge Keys view. Local charge keys are the charge keys stored on a charge point so it can authorize a charge even when it has no internet connection. You can find the view under Charge Point Settings for each charge point.

In the view you can:

• See the charge keys that are synced to that charge point, not every key on the team.

• Search the list to find a specific charge key quickly.

• Open a key to see its details, such as name, ID, owner, last updated date and status.

• Trigger a sync manually, to update the list on the charge point.

• Follow a link to team settings, where you manage the charge keys.

The page also explains how local charge keys work, so you do not need to look it up elsewhere.

Why it matters

Offline authorization is only useful if you know who can start a charge when a charge point loses its connection. The view shows exactly which keys the charge point holds locally. Monta also records whether each key was synced successfully, because some charge points reject keys or can only store a limited number of them.

How to use it

1. Open a charge point in Monta Hub and go to Charge Point Settings.

2. Open the local charge keys view and search or browse the synced keys.

3. To change which keys are on the list, use the link to team settings and add or remove charge keys there.

Good to know

• You do not manage the list on the charge point itself. The list is built from your team's charge keys and synced to the charge point automatically.

• When you add or remove a charge key in the team's payment settings, the confirmation message tells you the change will sync to your charge points and may take some time.
