What's new
We have added two new fields for customers in Belgium: Enterprise Number (KBO/CBE) and Peppol ID. They are available today.
From 1 January 2026, structured e-invoicing is mandatory for B2B invoices in Belgium. Instead of a PDF sent by email, an e-invoice is a structured document exchanged over Peppol, the network used for e-invoicing. Monta is adding support for this, and these two identifiers are how we identify your company and route e-invoices to the right place.
Action required
If you are a customer in Belgium, please review the company details on your team or operator and make sure they are complete:
Check your company name, address and VAT ID.
Add your Enterprise Number. This is your company number in the Belgian company register (KBO/CBE).
Add your Peppol ID.
When you create a new team for a Belgian company, the same identifiers are part of the Create Team flow.
What Monta supports
Structured e-invoices exchanged over Peppol, in line with the Belgian VAT requirements.
E-invoices for sales that fall under Belgian VAT, issued by Monta on behalf of the seller. Invoices are prepared per buyer and per period in a monthly run, so there is nothing for you to build or send yourself.
Routing based on the identifiers above, which is why they need to be on your account.
Why it matters
If your company details are incomplete, Monta may not be able to send or receive e-invoices for you, and your invoicing could be disrupted once the rules take effect. Adding the details now means you stay compliant without extra admin later.
Who it's for
Operators and partners in Belgium who issue domestic B2B invoices, and their business customers in Belgium.
Availability
The Enterprise Number and Peppol ID fields are available now for customers in Belgium. Please add your details before 1 January 2026.
