Smoother charging experience (3/3): Better discovery, faster charging
The My Location button opens your nearest charging site, new public charging users are asked to add a card early, and combined filters now work as expected.

What's new
Part 3 follows Part 1 and Part 2 and focuses on helping drivers find, access and start charging faster in the Monta Charge app.
Auto-open nearest site. Tap the My Location button on the map and the app centres on you and opens the nearest charging site. A banner at the top of the site view reads This is your nearest charging location. with the hint Choose a charge point to start charging here. The banner goes away when you pick a different site or clear the selection.
A location prompt when you need it. The app no longer asks for location permission as soon as the map opens. The first time you tap My Location, a prompt explains the request. Choose Allow to continue to your device's permission request and centre on your position. Choose Not now and the map centres on an approximate location instead. If you close the prompt without choosing, it can appear again next time.
Payment onboarding. New public charging users are prompted to add a payment card shortly after onboarding, so they do not have to do it in the middle of their first charge. The prompt appears once, for users who have no card yet. Add a card in the payment sheet and it becomes your default payment method, or choose Skip for now.
Smart filtering. When you combine a minimum charging speed with a maximum price, the map now shows chargers that meet both. Before, a site could appear because one charger was fast enough and another was cheap enough, even if no single charger was both.
Why it matters
Each of these removes a step or a surprise: one less tap to reach the closest site, no permission request before you have a reason to give it, a payment method ready before you need it, and filter results you can trust.

Drivers who use the Monta Charge app at public chargers, especially new users on their first charges.
Good to know
The nearest site is picked from the sites already loaded on the map, so zoom or move the map if you expect a site that is not shown.
The location prompt does not appear if you have already allowed location access.
