New web guest charging experience

What's New

We're refreshing the Android (and web) guest charging flow for visitors and walk-up users at your charge points. The experience has been rebuilt in React, which means faster loading times and a foundation that lets us ship improvements to it more rapidly.

We're also introducing in-flow support actions. Guests will be able to trigger fixes like unlock cable themselves on select charge point models when a session gets stuck in stopping state or a cable isn't releasing.

Available self-help actions are determined dynamically and are available depending on the situation and the charge point.

Why It Matters

Guest charging is often the first impression of your operator brand. A smoother, faster flow on Android means fewer drop-offs and a better experience for one-time users at your sites.

Self-service recovery from stuck states means fewer support tickets for your team and faster resolutions for guests still at the charger. The React rewrite also unlocks a faster pace of future improvements to the guest experience.
