Below changes ONLY affect Public Plans (those you can publish to the mobile app, so that EV drivers can sign up for in the Monta app).

Private Plans (your B2B plans, and those not published to the app) can have price changes applied to it immediately (as before).

What's new

When you change the price of a public plan, the new price now goes live one calendar month after you create the change. Public plans are the plans consumers can sign up for in the Monta app.

The email about the change goes out on the day you create it.

Why it matters

This keeps price changes on public plans in line with consumer protection laws. Consumer protection laws in the EU and several US states require subscription providers to give consumers advance notice of price increases and a fair chance to cancel before they take effect. A fixed one-month notice gives drivers that time and fits common legal requirements, such as the one-month rule for household energy contracts in Germany and the notice windows in California and New York. You don’t have to track notice periods for each market yourself.

Who it's relevant for

Operators with public plans that consumers sign up for in the Monta app (B2C).
