What's New

There is now an option to change EVSE status reporting for models that use the OCPP Unavailable status. This can be enabled via the Release Channel feature "Remap OCPP Unavailable to Busy (Not Charging)". Previously, an EVSE reporting Unavailable while the charging station's OCPP connection was still up was shown as Disconnected. Now, as long as the charging station is still online, that EVSE is shown as Busy non charging instead — for example when another connector sharing the same power unit is in use.

Why It Matters

Charging stations report a connector as OCPP Unavailable for several reasons — for instance when a sibling connector on the same power unit is charging or local load balancing is preventing charging. Showing an Unavailable connector as Disconnected produced false offline alerts and understated uptime, even though the charging station was online the whole time.

With this change, an Unavailable connector on an online charging station is reported as Busy non charging — removing the false offline alarms and making uptime and availability reporting reflect what's really on site.

How to Use

You can turn this on yourself now in the Release Channel section of the Hub. It will be enabled for everyone automatically on 1 September 2026.
