What's new
For supported payment methods, including major credit cards, Monta reserves a smaller initial amount when a charge starts and increases the authorization as the session progresses, instead of one large upfront hold. Unused reservations are cancelled immediately when a charge attempt is unsuccessful. Methods that do not support incremental authorization keep the existing logic.
Why it matters
Drivers have less money tied up, the reserved amount matches the final cost more closely, and funds are released faster. Operators keep the revenue security of an upfront reservation.
Who it's for
Drivers paying by a supported card. It applies automatically with no setup.
