What's new

Monta's tariff model has been rebuilt to be market-agnostic. It supports two shapes: dynamic tariffs, where the price follows the day-ahead spot market hour by hour, and a fixed weekly schedule of price bands (peak, off-peak, overnight EV windows and so on).

Public tariffs are refreshed every day, so the prices in the library stay current without manual upkeep:

  • Day-ahead spot prices from Nord Pool for Denmark (DK1/DK2), Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden, per bidding zone

  • Denmark - in addition, the hourly time-of-use grid tariffs of every DSO, from Energinet's Energi Data Service

  • Spain - the regulated PVPC hourly tariff published by REE

  • United Kingdom - Octopus Energy tariffs, including Agile (half-hourly wholesale-linked), fixed time-of-use and Economy 7 dual-register tariffs

In Hub, the new Dynamic tariffs page lets you browse the public library by country, create and edit your own custom tariffs, and view live spot-market day-ahead prices. In the Charge app (version 2.95.0 and later), the updated Electricity costs flow lets drivers pick the tariff that matches their electricity contract, including network tariffs and any additional per-kWh costs, so charging costs are calculated on their real price.

Why it matters

Home smart charging now runs on real tariff data across markets. Drivers in the supported markets get accurate cost tracking and can schedule charging around the cheapest hours, and you can offer smart-charging and grid-service products in markets that previously had no tariff coverage.

Use the Partner API to manage dynamic tariff prices programmatically.

Who it's relevant for

Operators with home-charging or smart-charging users in the markets above, and anyone who maintains custom tariffs for their sites.

How to use it

In Hub, open Pricing & Growth → Dynamic tariffs from the sidebar. The Public tab is the tariff library (filter by country), the Operator tab holds your own tariffs, and the Spot market tab shows day-ahead prices. Click New above the table to create a tariff; each row offers View details, Edit tariff and Delete tariff.

In the Charge app, drivers go to Insights → Electricity costs to pick their tariff.
