What's new
Bulk Import lets you add multiple teams and charge points in one go with a single CSV upload. It was previously known as Mass Import in the old Portal. With this migration the feature lives in Monta Hub, so you are no longer sent to the Portal to use it.
One file can create teams, charge points and sites. Two things happen automatically around it:
When an import creates a site, an installer job is created for it.
When the sheet includes an installer email, the installer is emailed the sheet.
How to use it
In Hub, open the Teams page and choose the bulk import option from the three-dot menu.
In the Bulk import window, select Download template to get the CSV template. The Bulk import guide link opens the help article that explains each column: Bulk import guide.
Drag and drop your file into the upload area, or click it to pick a file. Only .csv files can be selected.
Check the file name shown, use Remove if you picked the wrong file, then select Import. The button stays disabled until a file is added.
Import history and details
Every import is kept in an import history. For each import you can see its status, the file name, who ran it, when, and how many records were successful, pending, skipped or failed. Click the file name to download the file you uploaded.
Open an import to see its individual records, with the status of each (pending, validation error, failed, skipped or completed), its target (team, charge point or site) and the row it came from. Click a record to see the error message, if any, and the full record data. You can copy the data as JSON, which helps when you need to fix a failed row.
Why it matters
Mass import used to sit in an older tool outside Hub. Now you can create or update many teams and charge points at once without leaving Hub, and you can see exactly what happened to every row afterwards.
Who it's for
Operators managing large charge point networks, or onboarding many teams and sites at once.
Good to know
This is a like-for-like move of the existing Mass Import. The CSV format is the same as before.
