Installer Jobs: Improved public link for installers

What's new

We have improved the public link for installers, part of the Installer Jobs feature in Monta Hub. The public link is a shareable job page that lets an installer commission a charge point on site without having access to your Monta Hub.

Installers can:

• Open the public link easily from any device, whether mobile, tablet or desktop. The link opens in the browser.

• See totals for connected charge points directly on the page.

• Get a warning if they try to mark a job as complete while some charge points are still not connected.

Operators can:

• Choose to have charge points activated for billing automatically once the job is marked complete, so you do not have to remember to do it later.

• See a dedicated start source for charge sessions that were started from the installer link, which makes them easier to recognise.

What stays the same

Everything installers could do before still works:

• Read the job details, such as the description, site, address, charge point name and status.

• Edit the serial number and select the connector, in case it was set up wrong or not at all.

• Write notes on a charge point and read the operator's notes.

• Run remote actions such as test charges, including start, stop and reboot, to confirm that the installation works.

• Mark the job as complete when the work is done.

Why it matters

Installers can finish their work on the go, from the device they have with them, without operator-level access to Monta Hub. You keep control over who can reach your network, and the totals and warning help avoid jobs being closed before every charge point is connected, which improves installation quality.

Operators who coordinate on-site charger commissioning, and the installers who carry it out.
