What's New
Operators can now set a separate operator fee for reimbursed home charging. The Operator fees step in a subscription plan has a third section, Operator reimbursement charge fees, next to the charge fees and roaming fees. It applies to sessions an employer reimburses, where the employee charges at home and the employer pays for the session.
- Three fees, like the other sections: a transaction fee (%), a start fee per session and a charge fee per kWh.
- Paid by the employer: the fees are taken from the employer's Reimbursement account and paid into your Operator Wallet. The employee's reimbursement isn't reduced.
- VAT on top: you enter the fees excluding VAT, and VAT is added based on where the charge point is and whether the employer is VAT-registered.
- Falls back to your charge fees: any reimbursement fee left at 0 uses the matching charge fee.
Why It Matters
Until now, reimbursed home sessions carried no operator fees at all, so operators running reimbursement programs earned nothing per session on employer-paid home charging. Now you can price that service on its own terms: for example, a lower fee on home charging than on public charging, paid by the company that benefits from it rather than by the employee.
How to Use
- In Monta Hub, open Plans and create or edit a plan.
- On the Operator fees step, switch on Operator reimbursement charge fees.
- Enter the transaction fee, start fee and charge fee per kWh, then save the plan.
- The fees apply to reimbursed sessions on home charge points, or Private Accounts, that hold a subscription to the plan.
Additional Info
- The fees don't appear on employer invoices and statements yet. The employer sees them as a deduction from their Reimbursement account wallet; showing them on invoices and statements is coming.
- Fees apply when the employer pays out in Realtime. Reimbursements paid out at End of month don't get operator fees.
- Not available in the United States and Canada.
- If the employee's account is VAT-registered, the session counts as professional charging and your charge fees apply, still paid by the employer.
- Monta's platform fee isn't charged on reimbursed sessions.
