What's new

When a customer, charging stations or sites change operator, you no longer need to ask Monta to move them by hand. Send a Migration request from the Helpdesk, and Monta Hub carries out the move once the other operator agrees.

How a migration request works: the sending operator sends a request, the receiving operator accepts and chooses where it lands, and the items move at the chosen time

  • Pick what moves: one account, or up to 500 EVSEs, or locations. Each EVSE shows its ID, location and address, so stations with the same name are easy to tell apart.
  • Choose when: as soon as the other operator accepts, or on a date up to 90 days ahead. You can change the time, or move it right away, until it happens.
  • The receiving operator decides: the request lands in their Helpdesk inbox. They choose which of their accounts the stations move into, or who owns the account after the move, or reject it with a reason.
  • Follow every step: both operators see the same page with the request's progress, everything it moves and when it moved.

Picking EVSEs for a migration request, with ID, location and address on every row

Everything in a request moves together, so you never end up with half a move. Past charging sessions, invoices and payouts stay with the operator they were made under.

Good to know

  • EVSEs and locations arrive private and without pricing, so the receiving operator can set their own prices before drivers charge.
  • A whole account keeps its members, charge keys, wallet and pricing when it moves.
  • You can only hand over what your operator holds, and you need the receiving operator's ID.

Why it matters

Moving a customer between operators used to mean a support ticket and waiting for Monta to do it by hand. Now both operators agree in Monta Hub, the move runs at the time you choose, and everyone can see where it stands.

Who it's relevant for

Operators taking over or handing over customers, charging stations or sites from another operator on Monta, such as resellers, installers and operators consolidating their networks.
