What's new

When members are allowed to pay for charging with the account wallet, you choose where that wallet can be used. Until now the choices went from All EVSEs, including roaming, through selected operators or the account's operator, down to Only EVSEs owned by this account. There is now an option in between: Only EVSEs owned by this account or its parent account.

It is made for nested accounts. Members of a nested account can pay with their account wallet at their own account's chargers and at the chargers of the parent account it is nested under, and nowhere else. That keeps company-paid charging inside the company's own sites, even when the operator runs a much larger public network.

The Networks setting for paying with the account wallet, with the new option Only EVSEs owned by this account or its parent account

How to use it

Open the account, go to Members & access, and open a member or a member group. On Access, under Pay for charging with account wallet, pick the new option in Networks and save.

Good to know

  • The option is available for members and member groups. It isn't offered in account settings or on charge keys.
  • It covers the account's direct parent account only, not accounts further up.
  • A member who belongs to a member group follows the group's setting, so set it on the group.

Why it matters

Operators that organise customers as nested accounts, for example one account per department or site under a company account, can now match the wallet to their policy. Members can charge where their company has its own chargers, without being able to spend the company wallet across the rest of the network.

Who it's relevant for

Operators and account admins who use nested accounts and pay for members' charging with an account wallet.
